Ian ‘Speed’Kennedy was NSW Waratahs coach in 2000. A long-time clubman and life member of Randwick. ‘Speed’ has over 200 first grade games including 5 first grade Premierships.
‘Speed’ has been a been a member of the NSW Rugby Judiciary Panel since 2011. Also, former coach of the Australian under 21 team.
To give light to the nickname as quoted in Eddie Jones latest book, “We had been coached in the reserves by Ian ‘Speed’ Kennedy. We called him ‘Speed’ because he had been the slowest forward on the field when he was club captain.”
‘Speed’ is an experienced tour leader having led groups for Gullivers for four Rugby World Cup’s, RWC 2023 will be his 5th.
